Half-year report: Mikron in 2019
See what we have accomplished so far…
We are halfway through the year 2019 and it’s time for us to give you a summary of the developments regarding the Mikron project. We’ll touch on our recent network developments, new features, and revised expansion strategies.
Node Reward system is in place
At the beginning of the year, we have successfully released the Node Reward System. Every one of our fan and community member can join us to help keep the network stable. All you have to do is to run the software wallet. For this, the network grants you a daily reward. We made the entry barrier low to engage as many people as possible. You only need to stake 1000 MIK to start with the tier 1 program.
In 2019 the maximum number of daily active nodes were 65 nodes. On average, we have between 50 and 60 nodes running.
Mikron mobile wallet was introduced
During the second quarter of this year, we have delivered the long-promised mobile wallet. The Mikron Web Wallet is now accessible from every browser and every phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer. The Web Wallet is based on NANO Wallet and it’s working perfectly so far. We also upgraded it with QR code scanning, making transacting between two people way easier.
Account comments — our most recent development
Just recently, we upgraded both the Web Wallet and the software wallet to display account comments. These account comments are created by the user, they are made public and they serve as an address book. More details coming soon!
Expansion in the future
We made a great effort to reach out to big players of the community building and loyalty program markets in Hungary. Pitching our idea and arranging talks with industry experts was successful and we learned a great deal about the workings of this market. It is still too early to name companies and announce any partnerships. By the end of the year, we will have more to say about this.
One thing was clear after the talks: that by working more closely with our current partners, we have to integrate Mikron in a more organic and engaging way. For this reason, during the second half of this year, we want to focus on new integration models. With our current partners, we will research and create new ways to use Mikron and integrate it with their released products. Our first milestone in this path should come by the end of the year, where Kripto Akademia’s new development will use Mikron in new and exciting ways.
