Other top prospect performances:

Cleveland SS Francisco Lindor, Double-A Akron: 2-for-4, HR, 2 RBI, R — Slick-fielding shortstop is already halfway to his 2013 home run output with his one thus far. 20-year-old is hitting .385 with a 1.000 OPS through three games.

Boston 3B Garin Cecchini, Triple-A Pawtucket: 3-for-3, BB, R, RBI — Cecchini has gone 5-for-9 over his first three Triple-A games, and also added a nifty diving grab in the fourth inning.

Houston OF Danry Vasquez, Class A Advanced Lancaster: 3-for-5, 4 R

Houston LHP Josh Hader, Class A Advanced Lancaster: 4 IP, ER, 4 H, 10 K — A gem from the Astros left-hander, acquired last summer from Baltimore for Bud Norris. Stock way up since going in the 19th round of the 2012 Draft.

Seattle 3B D.J. Peterson, Class A Advanced High Desert: 4-for-4, 2 2B, 3 RBI, 2 R — Peterson is enjoying the California League so far, posting a 1.417 OPS in his first three games.

Cincinnati OF Jesse Winker, Class A Advanced Bakersfield: 2-for-4, HR, 2B, 6 RBI, 2 R

St. Louis LHP Tim Cooney, Triple-A Memphis: 6 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 9 K — Oft-overlooked southpaw struck out nearly a batter per inning in 2013, off to even better start in 2014.

Detroit RHP Jake Thompson, Class A Advanced Lakeland: 5 IP, 2 H, 2 BB, 7 K

Kansas City 2B Christian Colon, Triple-A Omaha: 3-for-4, 2B, 3 R

Baltimore LHP Tim Berry, Double-A Bowie: 7 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 7 K

Chicago (NL) OF Albert Almora, Class A Advanced Daytona: 5-for-6, 3 RBI, 2 R — Snapped an 0-for-9 skid to begin the season.

Chicago (AL) SS Tim Anderson, Class A Advanced Winston-Salem: 3-for-4, 2B, 3B, 2 R — Anderson hitting .364 thus far with the Dash.

Chicago (NL) OF Jake Hannemann, Class A Kane County: 2-for-5, HR, 2 SB, 2 R, RBI — Toolsy outfielder out of Brigham Young hitting .333 thus far in full-season debut.

Pittsburgh LHP Cody Dickson, Class A West Virginia: 5 IP, 3 H, 7 K — 2013 fourth-rounder with a stellar full-season debut. One key for Dickson this year is improving his control, and the goose egg in the walks column may be the best sign here.

Boston RHP Pat Light, Class A Greensville: 6 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 10 K
