Pirates OF Gregory Polanco, Triple-A Indianapolis: 2-for-5, 3 R, 2 SB — Indy bumped Polanco into the lead-off spot and he responded by getting on base twice and stealing two bags, swiping second and third consecutively after one of his singles. He also made this nifty grab in right field:

Tigers OF Steven Moya, Double-A Erie: 3-for-4, HR, 2 RBI, 2 R — Covered Moya a little in the Travis story (the pair are teammates). Of particular note, I asked Travis for his thoughts on Moya’s batting practice sessions. “Superhuman,” is how Travis described Moya’s raw power. It’s translated of late, as Moya’s homered six times in his past nine games.

Nationals OF Michael Taylor, Double-A Harrisburg: 2-for-3, HR, 2 R, RBI, BB, K — Taylor now has a career-high 15 homers to go along with 14 steals in 16 attempts. He’s also slashing .325/.405/.629. The outfielder has made some adjustments in his swing (will have more at MiLB.com on that this week) and has turned at least a small corner with his ability to connect solidly on a consistent basis.

White Sox RHP Francellis Montas, Class A Advanced Winston-Salem: 7 IP, 5 H, 3 R, ER, 6 K — The hard-throwing 21-year-old has made massive strides with his control and boasts a 40-to-5 K/BB through 37 innings this season. Over his past three games, he’s struck out 25 and walked just two.

Rays RHP Ryne Stanek, Class A Bowling Green: 6 IP, 6 H, ER, BB, 6 K — Offseason hip surgery delayed Stanek’s start to 2014, but the Arkansas product has found his stride with consecutive outstanding outings for the Hot Rods. The 22-year-old has a 2.63 ERA with 22 strikeouts in 27 1/3 innings.

Mariners OF Austin Wilson, Class A Clinton: 3-for-5, HR, 2B, 3 RBI, 2 R, BB — The Stanford product has had consecutive three-hit games and belted his sixth homer of the season. Clinton was hit especially hard early by frigid temperatures in the Midwest League, so Wilson’s .298/.373/.483 line is even more impressive than it seems.

Indians OF Clint Frazier, Class A Lake County: 2-for-3, HR, RBI, R, BB, K, SB — The long ball was Frazier’s second through 43 games. The 19-year-old is hitting .249 and has struck out 58 times so far, including 44 times in 29 May contests.
