Cardinals INF Mason Katz, Class A Peoria: 2-for-5, 2 HR, 2 RBI, 2 R, K — Katz hit a walk-off winner in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Chiefs a win. The 23-year-old has some good raw pop and now has 11 homers on the season, but he’s also still batting .209 as a college product

Rangers OF Jairo Beras, Class A Hickory: 3-for-5, HR, 2 R, RBI, BB — The homer was Beras’ first in the South Atlantic League, and the three-hit game brought the big-money international free agent up over the Mendoza line to .201.

Cubs SS Javier Baez, Triple-A Iowa: 2-for-4, HR, 2 RBI, R, 2 SB — Baez snapped an 0-for-19 slump Sunday, belting his 10th home run and driving his stolen base totals up to 11.

Rockies RHP Jon Gray, Double-A Tulsa: 5 IP, 5 H, 2 BB, 5 K — That’s two straight scoreless outings for last year’s first-round pick, who has a 3.93 ERA through 13 starts with the Drillers.

Rays 1B Casey Gillaspie, Class A Short Season Hudson Valley: 1-for-4, HR, 2 RBI, R, 2 K — First professional home run for the Wichita State product, selected 20th overall in this month’s Draft.

Cubs C Kyle Schwarber, Class A Short Season Boise: 1-for-2, HR, 2 RBI, 2 R, BB — Early returns are looking very good on Schwarber, who has two homers while going 7-for-11 in his first three games.
