Other top prospect performances:

Yankees 2B Robert Refsnyder, Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre: 2-for-3, HR, 2 RBi, 2 R, BB — He isn’t quite Mookie Betts, but Refsnyder’s production hasn’t been far behind. The 23-year-old is hitting .351 in 17 Triple-A games after posting a .342 average in Double-A. The homer was his second with the RailRiders and eighth this season. The big question with Refsnyder is whether he can play second base at a big league level. If he can make it work, he could be a long-term solution for the Yankees in short order.

Red Sox RHP Allen Webster, Triple-A Pawtucket: 7 2/3 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 9 K — Webster’s sinker was working Friday, helping him rack up nine groundouts to just two fly outs. The 24-year-old has a 2.92 ERA over 17 starts and 58 strikeouts over his past 59 2/3 innings.

[milbvideo id=”34104805" width=”480" height=”270" /]

Cardinals OF Stephen Piscotty, Triple-A Memphis: 3-for-5, HR, 3 RBI, 2 R — Piscotty has a big arm in right field and a quality approach at the plate. He’s hit only five homers this season, but he’s also clubbed 24 doubles while slashing .315/.375/.449 in 78 games.

[milbvideo id=”34103179" width=”480" height=”270" /]

Cubs 2B Arismendy Alcantara, Triple-A Iowa: 4-for-6, HR, 4 RBI, 3 H, K — Alcantara’s hitting .462 over his past 10 games and has two homers in his past three contests. The switch-hitter has 10 homers and 10 triples on the season and has mashed lefties to the tune of .369/.409/.667.

[milbvideo id=”34104167" width=”480" height=”270" /]

Brewers SS Orlando Arcia, Class A Advanced Brevard County: 3-for-5, HR, 2B, 3 RBI, 2 R — The slick-fielding 19-year-old has been on a tear of late. He went 5-for-5 with three extra-base hits on June 24 and clubbed just his second homer of the season on Friday. Arcia has a knack for making contact and good speed. It’s a profile that should get him to the Majors, and with some added strength, could make him a well above average regular in Milwaukee.

Orioles RHP Dylan Bundy, Class A Short Season Aberdeen: 5 IP, 3 H, 2 BB, 7 K — Those poor short season hitters. Bundy’s rehab should take him up to the full-season level soon, possibly to Double-A Bowie.
