Other top prospect performances:

Rays OF Kevin Kiermaier, Triple-A Durham: 3-for-4 — Kiermaier is one of the top defensive outfielders in the Minors and is hitting .303 through 17 Triple-A games. He currently profiles as an excellent fourth outfielder but could become a Major League regular if his bat takes a step forward.

Red Sox RHP Allen Webster, Triple-A Pawtucket: 6 1/3 IP, 5 H, ER, BB, 5 K — The sinkerballer managed just a 6-to-4 GO/FO ratio Wednesday. His control still needs work, too, with 13 walks in 26 1/3 innings.

Tigers LHP Robbie Ray, Triple-A Toledo: 8 1/3 IP, 4 H, BB, 7 K — Ray threw 107 pitches and slimmed his Triple-A ERA to 1.93 through four starts. Just five walks in 23 1/3 innings for the prospect acquired for Doug Fister this offseason.

Indians 2B Jose Ramirez, Triple-A Columbus: 3-for-5, 2B, R, 3 SB — Ramirez has been perhaps the best leadoff man in the Minors so far, reaching base in all 19 games he’s played. He’s slashing .338/.375/.507 and has swiped eight bases in 11 tries. He also had his first multi-homer game earlier this week, giving him 10 long balls in his career. The infielder has seen time at shortstop, too, but is better at second, where he has good range and sure hands — he’s yet to make an error at the keystone this season.

Cardinals SS Aledmys Diaz, Double-A Springfield: 2-for-5, HR, 2 RBI, 2 R, SB — Diaz has cooled some since a white-hot start, striking out 11 times in his past 10 games. He’s also walked just once in 17 games but is slugging .547 with an .860 OPS.

Indians OF Tyler Naquin, Double-A Akron: 3-for-4, BB, K, CS — Naquin turns 23 Thursday and pre-empted the celebration with a second straight multi-hit game. He’s struck out 25 times in 18 games in his Double-A debut, but is hitting .289 with a .778 OPS in his past 10 games.

Royals SS Raul Mondesi, Class A Advanced Wilmington: 3-for-4, HR, 3 R, RBI, K, SB — Mondesi also had a nice defensive play in the field. He’s hitting .313, and the homer was his first with the Blue Rocks.

Rangers prospects Chris Bostick, Nick Williams and Jorge Alfaro: Just consult the box score for yourself. Myrtle Beach tallied 21 runs behind these guys and the outpouring from Gallo , which we wrote about on the site.

D-backs 3B Brandon Drury, Class A Advanced Visalia: 3-for-5, 2 HR, 4 RBI, 3 R, K — The 21-year-old is slashing .284/.337/.494 with three homers and three steals. Building on an impressive 2013 season.

A’s SS Daniel Robertson, Class A Advanced Stockton: 3-for-5, HR, RBI, R — The 2012 first-rounder has shown a quality plate approach in the Cal League and the homer Wednesday was his second with the Ports.

Royals OF Elier Hernandez, Class A Lexington: 3-for-4, HR, 4 RBI, R — The 19-year-old has had a rough go in the SAL so far with 19 strikeouts in 17 games, but he belted his first homer at the level and collected his second multi-hit game in three days Wednesday.
