Bury Me In Austin.

Bury me in Austin,
Bag up my bones,
And carry my soul
To the only home I’ve ever known.

Yes bury me in Austin,
Do forget all my sins,
And let those starry-eyed tears
Dry in West Texas winds.

Don’t cry for my body,
Don’t hold on to your hurt,
I’ll be peaceful and happy
In my homeland’s dirt.

Please bury me in Austin,
Rest my weary old bones,
Doesn’t matter where I go
’Cause I’ll always be home.
