This is the contagion you choose

Walking down the lane,
I spied a wounded mutt
Tended by a common man.
The act, the
Kindness is contagious.

Along the way, to my left,
I beheld a tiny park teeming
With wee kids, in peals of laughter.
The happiness, the
Laughter is contagious.

Through the bustling roads,
I descried a man without legs,
Maneuvering steadily with his hands.
The perseverance, his
Determination is contagious.

There are many contagions
In the journey of life.
It is the choice,
The decision you make,
What to be infected with.
