Nightmare

When the body arises

After slipping into the pillows spell

Tugging like an angel

Between heaven and hell

Laying there still

A bed statue

As an entity seeks to undo thrill

By riding on the upper torso

Making it home

Throttling the life out of you

And then suddenly it ceases

And the body can shift again

So you ask the closest noun:

Was that a dream?

While quivering in dismay
