Tick

Tock

The days become nights

My heart shines like lights

I am the happiest I’ve ever been

You have me up so high it should be a sin

Then I suddenly crash

Feeling like I am walking on shards of glass

So the days are long and the nights are short

My heart feels like it was on trial in court

I sit and wait

I wonder when I will begin to feel better

Then one day you say you’re sorry

At night I sit and let the hurt wash over me

My ears heard the words, but my heart feels what is seen

See the thing about words is they can’t fix a heart.

The only thing that could fix the heart is actions and time.

I need more of it.
