Happy Friday! MAP’s Five on Friday kicks off the weekend by sharing five things we loved this week. Join in with us by sharing five things you’re loving in the comments below!

{{№1: Watching}}

This week MAP launched our “Brews & Bipartisanship” Facebook live series where we sit down with members of the Congressional Future Caucus to talk about issue areas where they’re working together to find common ground. In the inaugural episode, MAP’s President Steven Olikara joined CFC Vice Chair Rep. Mike Gallagher and member Rep. Ro Khanna to discuss their recent term limit amendment.

{{№2: Highlighting}}

It was a MAP-takeover on Capitol Hill this week. On Tuesday, MAP’s President Steven Olikara testified before the House Small Business Committee, which includes CFC members Ranking Member Rep. Nydia Velazquez and CFC Vice Chair Rep. Stephanie Murphy, at their “Millennials and the Gig Economy” hearing. Emphasizing the increasing number of millennials pursuing careers in the gig economy, Steven stressed the importance of creating a new social contract so that millennials have a platform to spark innovation and new businesses.

{{№3: Reading}}

This week’s heavy news of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain’s tragic deaths is an important reminder that mental illness doesn’t discriminate. It’s also an opportunity to open the doors to discussing mental health and knocking down the stigma that surrounds it.

If you’re suffering, please call 800–273–8255 or text TALK to 741–741, if you prefer texting, for help. It will get better.

{{№4: Listening}}

CFC member Rep. Joaquin Castro launched his foreign policy podcast, “The Diplomatic Cable,” where he discusses national security issues and foreign policy with world leaders. In the inaugural episode, Rep. Castro sits down with the Iran Deal Ambassador Wendy Sherman and President Trump’s former candidate for U.S. Ambassador to Seoul Dr. Victor Cha about the upcoming Trump-Kim summit on June 12.

{{№5: Celebrating}}

How we feel about the Capitals’ historic win last night. Happy Friday!
