It is Karandaaz’s second edition of FinTech Disrupt Challenge

ISLAMABAD: Karandaaz Pakistan has announced its second edition of the FinTech Disrupt Challenge, this time to be hosted at IBA AMAN Centre for Entrepreneurial Development in Karachi. Scheduled to be hosted on the 20th of May, Karandaaz is currently inviting startups to apply to win up-to $100,000 in seed capital. The deadline is on the 9th of May.

Karandaaz is looking for startups which are aiming to promote financial inclusion. It has identified few thematic areas including — digital payment solutions, access to financial services, eCommerce and interoperability solutions.

Last year, Karandaaz funded three startups at the LUMS Centre for Entrepreneurship (LCE), with each getting seed funding of Rs.10 million. While, Karandaaz as a whole has been working to build a financially inclusive societies for both individuals and SMEs since 2014. Karandaaz is funded by DFID and the Gates Foundation.
