CHICAGO, IL (June 28, 2017) — This week, MILLIE joins the Elmspring Accelerator program in Chicago, Illinois, for a four-month program providing both educational and networking opportunities for startups. MILLIE was invited to attend along with eight other companies who competed for a spot in the elmspring 2017 Cohort.

Founded by real estate entrepreneurs Thomas Bretz and Adam Freeman, Elmspring is a startup accelerator that funds tech innovations across real estate and its related industries. “Elmspring strives to embrace technology that will change the way business is done both through disruption and by solving problems,” says co-founder Adam Freeman.

The MILLIE team is comfortable with disruption and problem-solving. Alleviating the stress of a PCS (Permanent Change of Station) for servicemembers and their families, and changing the way they navigate frequent relocations is the core mission of this Veteran-owned startup.

“It’s an honor to be invited to join in this program, and we’re excited to be a part of it,” said MILLIE CEO Ken Robbins. “It proves that we’re making a splash in the real estate industry, and we hope to apply the knowledge gained here to help alleviate even more relocation hurdles for service members and their families.”

During the session, each startup receives seed capital, access to elmspring’s impressive network of advisors and mentors, office space at Chicago’s tech hub 1871 and a host of professional services and resources. They are also part of a Rush Event, pitching to over 300 investors, potential customers, and partners.

“The elmspring class of 2017 includes an impressive list of companies looking to innovate. We look forward to partnering and mentoring them to help exceed their professional expectations,” says elmspring Executive Director Bob Gillespie.

Elmspring’s expanded view of the real estate market focuses on emerging technology platforms using AI, VR, and SaaS. Focusing on construction, niche communities, architects and commercial real estate, this class is ready for acceleration.

MILLIE is an online community and digital marketplace that connects members of the military and their families with specialized knowledge and trusted resource providers to remove the stress and anxiety of PCSing.
