Conspiracy: Jumpstart is a National Game Design Month project, where a game (or, in this case, a Magic: The Gathering product) is designed in one month, during November 2020.

Product Play Component: Votings Cards
Making secret choices rarely occurs in Magic. But when it does, players get creative and make do with how to track that (writing on a piece of paper, for instance).

However, since every pack asks you to secretly vote, I wanted to be sure that this process was as seamless as possible. Each Conspiracy: Jumpstart product contains two voting cards for each player plus a bonus voting card, which you’ll see below, related to Leovold.

This solution has been in the back of my mind since designing character pack #1, Brago. Just hadn’t gotten around to doing a mockup. The cards you see below are repurposing the checklist cards template.

Find the voting cards among the card renders below.

Leovold

Leovold’s mechanical identity is voting. Leovold gets one more voting card than other character packs. But even with such a measly increase, Leovold still has an opportunity to make a difference with anyone’s voting card, as you’ll see with his card.

Leovold also has an identity of helping your allies. Because voting is more of a rarer event, there are many effects in the pack that reward everyone that isn’t your opponent.

UPDATE: Some cards below have been updated thanks to feedback from dJemba on the Beacon of Creation Discord.
