For starters, Happy Friday everyone! We’d like to apologize for not getting a development update out to you last week. We were working diligently on migrating the entire admin server codebase into Rust. This was quite time consuming, but definitely worth the effort in our view. So for those who may have been curious, we were not enjoying popcorn watching “Avengers: Infinity War”. We were literally buried in code and making product enhancements.

Updates:

We’ve been experimenting with a mechanism to facilitate other high level features into the API. We’re not ready just yet to come out and say what those features are yet (shhhhhh, it’s a secret), but we can say this — they are exciting — at least we believe they will be for developers of decentralized applications (DApps). Keep an eye out on our Telegram for any announcements in upcoming weeks!

Conference this week:

This week a few of our team members attended The Trading Show in Chicago. According to John Licata, our CMO, “Seeing our CTO, Hunter Prendergast, speak at the Trading Show in Chicago, I was reminded just how important the work we are doing truly is. It was great to see a capacity crowd take photos of our slides, take notes during the presentation, and ask questions. Hunter nailed the talk and gave everyone some amazing insights into Web 3.0 and the role blockchain can play in an advancing digital economy, one that desperately needs secure infrastructure solutions like those we are bringing to the market at MIMIR.”

Our Software Architect, Forrest Marshall, also spoke at the Trading show on an interactive round table about smart contracts & decentralized capital markets. This was a more intimate conversation, but still an important one to have. During this VIP round table, Forrest had the opportunity to sit down with several investor and developer-types keen on learning more about smart contracts, their applications, where the tech is going, and what it is really capable of. Great job Forrest!
