We’re gaining some momentum. Last few months has been productive and are shaping us to work more effectively. We are working towards aligning ourselves. Trying to be the best selves to work with while identifying and repairing the flaws we come across. We are consistently producing meaningful work. We met some logical and progressive people and these relationships are taking shape into projects. These projects will not only help us in getting resources for Mimo56’s experiments and projects but will also challenge us to expand our practice and its impact. We are looking forward to meeting new people with new ideas and new visions.

Started working at Jaipur — Pradyumn and Sakshi joined us. Kudos to both for bearing with us and our ways of working. We understand how it must have felt. We all have been there. It was not easy to let them go. We like to believe that they also enjoyed those times. We are grateful to Gaurav Kheterpal sir for renting out his very resourceful and thoughtfully designed workspace. It feels good to call it our first office. This place kick-started it all.

Shefali wanted to go against the industrialised mass-produced fashion in clothing. She wanted to explore and create fashion house that provides pieces that are novel and personal. The disruptive nature of this project enticed us to be a part of it. The challenge was to find a viable and feasible business model to start with. It was exciting to work with her and to manifest it into an identity. We feel proud when we see @Maisonshefali working good. Thanks to Runjhun for letting us use her beautiful home.

We never wanted to market ourselves. Rather wanted to tell a story than try selling it. Maybe that is why we still don’t have a website. Out of this intention of reaching like-minded people, we tried social media channels. We feel good to see and be part of this building of a community. We try to keep it relevant and meaningful. We must admit, the appreciation does feel good and it pushes us towards sharing our work more and more.

Currently, beyond our own experiments and learnings and also 56’s internal operations, we are working on a few projects around experience design and interaction design. We are excited to work on these projects. We hope that these pieces come out and work the way we have designed them. We are also involved in “UX/UI” projects, mostly web and mobile-based products. We hope to find projects that push us and challenge us to disrupt the patterns, find simple(and not simpler) solutions to complex problems, to be meaningful and honest. To experiment, experiment, experiment, to serve and get back to it again.

Cheers to this new year 2018! — Mimo56 Team
