Who is Mind Blown?
Mind Blown is the brainchild of a husband and wife team — Alicia and Saar. It is our third child :) and was inspired by our daughter’s curiosity and wonder. May they never lose it.
To realize the vision, we were joined by Stuart, his wife and their own two sons. Together, we are continuing to build Mind Blown every single day.
We love this stuff. We love to learn and we love to share knowledge. We genuinely celebrate each time we release a new collection. This fascination with what is truly fascinating about the world is the company’s soul. It’s our mojo.
But it’s not just us…
The Mind Blown team includes some dedicated professionals, with a passion for finding things out, and explaining them. We have Alicia, our storyteller-in-chief and words wizard. Claire is our special consultant to everything marine biology and Eran is our gaming guru and fun-nancier. Susan is our master of education (literally, she’s a Harvard MEd). Eli is our PhD and lead philosophy egghead-in-residence, and Michael is simply the smartest guy in the room. Any room. (He’s an MIT and LSE graduate and is fluent in 8 languages!)
Mind Blown Academy is supported by UCL’s Institute of Education, and the mentoring staff of the prestigious EDUCATE program, bringing a remarkable pedagogical foundation to our content.
Our dream team is also powered by a community of like-minded educators, curators and hunters of fantastic facts.
We are all committed to the pursuit of growing great minds, and not less important — good hearts.
Those who write and curate what you find on Mind Blown come from a diverse range of expertise, from PhDs in philosophy to game designers, driven by a hunger to learn, show, tell and share what they found, and what took their breath away. Those of us who select, highlight, express and project include academics, entrepreneurs, creatives, instructional designers, writers and designers, working together to weave educational journeys that delight as much as educate. Our collective experience spans many years and multiple industries. We bring together multiple disciplines to compose online portals into knowledge.
