I Started Losing Weight After I Made This Mindset Shift
It’s all about how you perceive things
As a young kid growing up with high metabolism and being highly active in sports, gaining weight was never a concern for me, and I ate like nobody’s business.
However, as I went into my early to mid twenties, my metabolism started to slow down.
Coupled with work cutting down on my time for sports and other physical activities, my weight started to increase to the point where the doctor during one of my medical checkups told me that I was borderline obese.
For someone who almost all his life never went above 70kg (roughly 155lbs) to being told that he was borderline obese — I was around 90kg (roughly 200lbs) at the time of that checkup — was a wake up call for me.
As an average Asian male, I’m about 5 feet 7 inches (around 1.7m) tall, which for me, my ideal weight shouldn’t be anything more than 75kg (that would be about 165lbs).
From the first time my weight went above 70kg (this was back in 2012), it’s been a rollercoaster of weight yo-yo.
My weight kept going up and since 2017, I’ve not weighed anything below 80kg — until last year.
