As the summer travel season approaches, I want to help my compatriots with some very valuable advice if you plan to visit Europe.

(And don’t worry: Even if you’re not from the US, this will still help massively.)

In this article, I’ll refer specifically to travel on the European continent because that’s where I’ve lived for the last 5 years and, thus, have the most experience.

I’m confident these tips will not only reduce the odds of any mishaps (or an international incident, lol), but also boost your enjoyment and travel comfort.

Bon voyage!

Thinking Europe Is (Basically) One Country

Of all the beliefs some Americans have, this one pisses off Europeans a lot.

Europe is NOT like a bunch of states in one country (like in the US).

Europe is a continent with over 40 countries, almost all of them with tremendously different cultures and languages. Some of those countries have tremendously different cultures and languages within the same border.

Why is it important to avoid this mistake?
