If we compare our lives to a line, the disruption caused by COVID-19 would appear as a bumpy, disconnected section.

Blame it on the financials, hiring freeze, and climate change — things are not the same. Some people even argue that the world ended in 2019, and we’re living in hell.

This year isn’t really any better than the ones we had before. If you have the same feeling, here are four things you should keep in mind.

1. Good things don’t always take a long time to happen.

Think about your first day at a job, moving into a new place, or starting school. Those moments feel big and scary at first, but soon they become just memories.

But guess what? They pass by so fast that you forget you were ever sad.

As we grow up, get married, finish school, or graduate, we forget the tough times because life keeps moving. It’s because these moments were quick.

The same is the case for sad moments.
