My alarm goes off at 6 am, reminding me it’s time to get up and go to work.
Instead of getting out of bed, I always snooze it and turn to my husband. I would tell him the same thing every day, “I don’t want to go to work”.
Every day used to be the same. It used to take me at least half an hour to get out of bed and start getting ready.
I never realised why it was hard for me to get out of bed in the morning. It was because I had nothing waiting for me. I had nothing to excite me every day to get out of bed.
I know motivation comes from within and it is hard to do stuff you love doing. But the only thing I had to look forward to was my job — which I hate.
For a long time, I did nothing to change this situation. This went on for 2 years. I even left writing because I thought I don’t have time to write along with my job.
