There are only two choices in life: Live the life others expect of you or live the life you want. You can’t have it both ways.

Living life “on your own terms” means you choose your path. You decide what you do, where you go, and who you become. You stop letting people shape your thoughts, and you start thinking for yourself and making your own choices—all of which lead to freedom, fulfillment, and joy.

But this requires courage, dedication, and discomfort. After all, it’s easy to do what everyone tells you, but it’s hard to resist it, alter lifelong beliefs, and abandon the life everyone expects you to live except yourself.
