If something takes less than 2 minutes, do it as soon as you become aware of it. Don’t make a plan to do it later.
- Answer short emails as soon as you open your inbox.
- Reach out to coworkers/clients/etc. as soon as you realize you have something to discuss with them.
- Put the groceries away when you bring them home.
- Don’t leave your empty coffee mug in the sink — since you’re already in the kitchen, take care of it.
- If you catch yourself thinking “I should write that down”, grab a pen and paper immediately.
