5 years goes by fast.

And there’s a lot to share.

In this article, I’ll share my favorite life lessons that I’ve learned over the past 5 years that have shaped my life in powerful ways.

Keep in mind: Some of these lessons have nothing to do with “Europe.” It’s just stuff that I happened to learn from being here. (In other words, I could’ve learned those lessons living anywhere.)

But this is where I’ve been — so that’s why I’m writing my article about it.

Ready?

C’est parti. Andiamo.

Do Less Without Feeling Guilty

One of the best life lessons I learned came from living in the Balkans for over 3.5 years.

When I first arrived there, I thought to myself, “Wow. Everyone drinks coffee—all day, every day.”

I love coffee too. But wow, it’s a national pastime there.

You see, in the Balkans, people sit at cafes for hours with their friends or solo and enjoy. No laptops. No textbooks. Very few business meetings. Just a lot of people watching, chilling, talking, etc.
