A couple of months ago I picked up the Fujifilm XF16mm f/2.8 lens. In this blog I will give you my review after using it for the time I have it. In the image below, you can see what it looks like.

For your information, this blog post is not sponsored and I paid for this lens with my own money so all opinions are my own.

Build Quality & Look

This lens feels like it should cost more — and at $399, it still feels like a solid deal. It’s lightweight, compact, and built with that sleek Fujinon XF quality. Plus, it is weather-sealed, which is a huge win at this price point.

Optically, it’s razor-sharp across the frame. The 10-element design (with two aspherical elements) keeps everything crisp from center to edge, and chromatic aberrations are practically non-existent. Autofocus is fast and quiet too, thanks to the stepping motor.

For $399, you’re getting a wide-angle lens that’s weather-sealed, well-built, and optically fantastic. If you’re building out your Fujifilm X-mount kit, this lens is an easy recommendation.
