Guided Stoic Meditation: Return to the Present
Presence and Clarity in the Here and Now.
Welcome to this guided Stoic meditation that aims to help bring you back to the present moment. It’s something you’ll hopefully find valuable to return to when thoughts about the past and future get a little overwhelming.
In this meditation, we’ll explore the power of the present moment and learn how to limit unnecessary mental trips to the past and future, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the here and now and experience all that it has to offer just like the Stoics did.
To begin, find a comfortable seated position, either on a cushion or in a chair. Close your eyes (or keep them open if reading!), take a deep breath in, and exhale slowly. Take another deep breath in, and again exhale slowly. Allow your breath to become slow and steady, and let yourself sink deeper into relaxation with each exhale.
