How to Reach the 99th Percentile of Health
From a retired fitness coach
If you do all of these things, you will transform your health and wellbeing—and you can reap those rewards for years to come.
Some are obvious, but some are definitely not. (And they might even fly in the face of what you commonly hear.)
And while it might seem like a lot, it’s really not. Just build a few simple habits and they’ll run an autopilot so you won’t have to make any effort to keep them going.
Also, I know “99th percentile” sounds like an exaggeration, but as you go through them, ask yourself, “Who ACTUALLY does all of these?”
If you can’t, that’s fine. (Hell, I don’t do them all the time either.) But like with many things in life: Stop making excuses and get started from where you are. Fix your weak points gradually and it’ll make a big difference, fast.
Eat a Balanced Diet
We really overcomplicate nutrition.
That’s how we get to the point where we demonize certain macronutrients—carbs, fats, etc.—and blame them for all of life’s problems.
Just eat whole foods most of the time. Colorful veggies, meats, fish, grains, healthy fats, etc.
