A reading list from a neuroscience professor at Stanford
If you know anything about self-improvement, you’ve definitely heard of Andrew Huberman. He’s a world-renowned neuroscientist and tenured professor at Stanford School of Medicine.
So, in this article, I’ll share several books Andrew Huberman has recommended. All of them rewired my brain to be more productive and think about life in a completely different way. Hopefully, they’ll do the same for you, too.
Deep Work by Cal Newport
Cal Newport is a computer science professor at Georgetown University. He’s also the author of Deep Work — a New York Times bestselling book.
I first heard about Cal Newport’s book on Lex Fridman’s podcast. It was described as a manual for becoming highly focused in a world filled with distractions. And sure enough, the book didn’t disappoint.
Within days of finishing Cal’s book, my productivity soared and it became 10x easier to focus. I also got more work done and found it easier to concentrate on my work for extended periods of time.
