When positivity (too much of it) can be a bad thing

I’ve always been one to champion positive thinking. As someone who has gone through depression, suffered from anxiety and panic attacks, and had random breakdowns, I support those who try their best to not let negative emotions win.

But there is such a thing as too much positivity (what??).

Sometimes, just sometimes, you gotta give your negative emotions the chance to have the limelight to yourself.

I’ll tell you why it’s important.

Accepting your feelings as valid emotions

I think we live in a world where we’re pressured to be or act in a certain way.

The rise of social media has really made us live our lives in a rather fake way because we either want to be seen or not seen in a certain light.

This often means that we push aside some of our feelings and emotions.

It’s the reason why sometimes you’d be following someone on social media platforms and seeing them all happy and living their best lives, only for a week later to find out they’re actually depressed or going through some really hard shits in…
