Neil deGrasse Tyson is one of the most influential and respected scientists of our time. He is best known for his work at the Hayden Planetarium and popular TV show Cosmos. Tyson is known for his wit, insight, and passion for scientific exploration. His words often contain a depth of insight that can be applied to life, beyond the realm of science.

In a tweet, Tyson shared a powerful quote that speaks to the importance of knowledge and humility: “A great challenge of life: Knowing enough to think you are right, but not knowing enough to know you are wrong.”

Tyson’s words remind us of the value of knowledge and the importance of understanding your level of ignorance and what to do about it. It also serves as a reminder that even the most knowledgeable person has much to learn and should not become too confident in their abilities.

It highlights the need to recognise our limitations and to stay open to learning and growing. We can become better humans when we understand and appreciate the importance of knowledge and humility.
