Did you know that cognitive decline starts decades before you notice any clear-cut signs?

Alzheimer's disease, for example, starts developing as early as our thirties. Like cancer, it silently develops until it’s too late to do something about it.

That’s why learning what the risk factors are is crucial to create a lifestyle that avoids harmful behaviors and favors those that boost brain health. If we don’t take care of our brains as soon as possible, we risk losing our memories and our identities, a fate worse than death.

The good news is that lots of research focused on long-term brain health has surfaced in the past years, which acclaimed neurosurgeon Sanjay Gupta has condensed in his book, Keep Sharp: Build a Better Brain at Any Age. In it, he explains the risk factors for cognitive decline, including a questionnaire that can warn the reader of possible danger.

The Questionnaire

The questionnaire consists of 24 yes-or-no science-backed questions. If you answer yes to five or more, then your brain could be in decline or may be soon.
