Why You Should Never Give In

The power of Winston Churchill’s quote and why it applies to every one of us.

Winston Churchill is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest leaders of our time. His writing, as well as his speeches and the quotes from them, are looked upon with admiration for their qualities. His judgements and decisions, whilst not always perfect, have had a significant impact on the world.

It is one of his lesser-known quotes that is often referenced when the traits of stubbornness and determination are discussed.

The quote is as follows.

“Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never — in nothing, great or small, large or petty — never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.” — Winston Churchill

The quote captures the essence of determination and stubbornness. The excessive use of the word ‘never’ conveying the depth of the message — to never give in.
