Daylight Morn

A Poem

Photo by enakshi mukhopadhyaya from Pexels

I sit by my window and observe the coming dawn
Darkness dissipating and light shining through
Dark clouds disappearing and light streaming through
Night seasons a’ passing and daylight a’ dawning
Frogs and crickets ceasing their myriad tune and night song
Birds and roosters taking the stage tuning up a new dawn song
The silent sounds of night watch and rest giving way…
