What It Means to Have Faith in God — Gary Ryan Blair
“ Faith can move mountains.” — Matthew 17:20
There is plenty of talk about financial net worth, but the truth is…your spiritual net worth carries much more clout.
Faith is spiritual capital; the absence of faith is spiritual bankruptcy.
A deep reserve of faith creates peace of mind, an excellent barometer for understanding that everything counts because everything one does either adds or subtracts from it.
Although most people say they believe in a higher power, faith in and
devotion to this higher power is rarely the topic of conversation.
Other than sex and money, religious expression has probably caused more rancor and strife than any other topic. Wary of broaching the subject, we table it.
Faith is a private matter — built in solitude from the feelings, acts, and experiences of individual people striving to establish a relationship with that which they consider divine.
But, conversations on such a vital subject must not be put on the back burner.
Discussion must take place, if not in public, then in private and certainly with
ourselves.
