My own experience last month
Recently, I had the opportunity to travel to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam for a business trip. As someone who is always looking for a budget-friendly adventure, I was excited to see what this vibrant city had to offer.
From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the affordability of everything. My hotel was a mid-range option, but it was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities I needed for just $30 per night. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the street food was delicious and incredibly cheap, with most dishes costing less than $2.
One of the highlights of my trip was exploring the city on foot. I was able to see so many of Ho Chi Minh City’s famous landmarks, like the War Remnants Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Central Post Office, all for just a few dollars each. I also took a cooking class on the weekend, which was a fantastic way to experience the local culture and cuisine, and it only cost me $15 for the entire class.
Another great experience was visiting the Mekong Delta, which is located just outside of Ho Chi Minh City. I took a day trip, which included a boat tour of the delta, a visit to a local market, and a delicious lunch, all for just $30. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my trip and a great way to escape the city for a day.
All in all, my trip to Ho Chi Minh City was an amazing experience. The city was full of surprises, and I was consistently impressed by how cheap and wonderful it was. I would definitely recommend Ho Chi Minh City to any budget-conscious traveler looking for an affordable and unforgettable adventure.
