Objective: Assistance with a Selection of a New Intelligent Transportation System

Background and Solution: The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (GDRTA) engaged Mindboard to assist the Authority in the vendor selection process for a new Intelligent Transportation System (ITS).

Following the receipt of all vendor proposals, Mindboard conducted qualitative and quantitative analyses of all responses and identified costs and potential benefits (non-financial) for each of the prospective vendors in various service areas. Mindboard also developed evaluation checklists, created vendor demonstration scripts and coordinated on-site presentations with the shortlisted firms.

Additionally, Mindboard provided recommendations for the selected vendor in a final Vendor Selection Report that highlighted all the factors analyzed by the project team that led to its final choice. The final report listed information about the selected vendor, pros and cons of the selected vendor, costs, maintenance and support considerations, etc. Finally, Mindboard assisted the Authority to present the final report to its Board for Directors for validation and approval.
