Stop Micromanaging Your Spiritual Growth
A suggestion from a former micromanage-everything fan
I just love Post-it notes.
Really. I mean they float my boat if you know what I mean. Stationery is my thing, which explains why I used to be too keen on micromanaging my every move; I wanted to stick my sticky notes everywhere.
The fridge, my computer, the wall. Barely an inch remained naked. I even clothed my side lamp in yellow post-its, reminding me to do this and that.
Now and then, I stripped away my notes and replaced them with new ones.
My to-do list post-its
- Read the Vedas; switch to read the Mahābhārata.
- Check out this YouTube video on grounding; switch to listen to this podcast on soul alignment.
- Buy a grounding mat. Switch to start chanting.
- Stop listening to your inner voice for as long as possible… Well, this one is an ongoing lesson.
Okay. So that wasn’t an actual list from one of my post-its, but it rings true. These are the sort of messages I leave myself to help me improve.
