2 Months Into My Weightloss Journey

Today, April 10th, marks two months since I started my weightloss journey — of eating healthier (and less!) and moving more.

And I’m happy/proud to say that as of this morning, I’m just one pound away from my next weightloss goal — of having lost 20lbs! 20 pounds in 2 months! (well, almost 20. By the end of this week I’ll have lost 20. Probably 21).

I’m kind of stunned and amazed that I’ve lost that amount of weight in what feels like a relatively short time! And what I’m even more stunned by is how easy it’s been! Compared to last time, that is, when I suffered through basically cutting all carb-y things out of my diet — breads etc). But this time, I haven’t cut any of that out and I’m still losing weight! Which makes me wonder — why on earth I put myself through that restrictive, unsatisfying, annoying ‘diet’ the last time round when I did have to?! Why did I eat SO MUCH TUNA the last time I lost a significant amount of weight?! SO. MUCH. TUNA. (yuck). I mean, I don’t hate tuna, but I had so, so much 10 years ago.

This last week has been a bit frustrating because (TMI probably for any men who read this next part) I’ve had my period for the last 10 days. And whenever I get my period, my weight loss stalls. I don’t lose weight, and instead I sometimes gain a pound or so. But afterwards, once it’s over the weight drops off again. I…
