Panic Mechanic
Unwinding PTSD Through Kundalini Yoga and Critical Theory
It has been four years since I’ve been really interested in Panic Disorder and the affects of trauma on the brain. Of course I could feel it myself, I need to understand the practicalities of this invisible and often confrontation illness. Still an avid self experimenter, kundalini yoga and meditation practitioner and critical theory and visual culture researcher I combined these three ontological epistemologies to design seminars where I can share and most importantly learn more about as Sylvia Wynter writes : Being Human As Praxis.
Human beings are magical. Bios and Logos. Words made flesh, muscle and bone animated by hope and desire, belief materialized in deeds, deeds which crystalize our actualities…and maps of spring always have to be redrawne again, in undared forms. — SYLVIA WYNTER, “THE POPE MUST HAVE BEEN DRUNK, THE KIND OF CASTILE A MADMAN”.
The inspiring quote introduces Wynter’s comprehensive awareness and engagement with the human being. That we relate on the nature of our existence, our alchemical capacities and the ability to rewrite narratives from the vastness within us. Especially the embodiment of belief through action. To understand the complexities of what can also get tangled, stuck and in crisis.
