Learning to Concentrate

Yeah ok but what is concentration?

Every second, you have a choice. You decide where to focus your attention.

For example right now you might be reading this sentence, but your attention might be somewhere else (your next thing to do or your Facebook account).

Is it possible that you have a hard time focusing your attention on just one thing?

And is it possible that this lack of continuous attention is becoming stressful?

PRACTICE: Ask yourself what is the “one thing” you need to do right now. Then practice doing only this one thing (like reading this post). Notice when your attention is going somewhere else and bring it back to your task. Do that until the task is complete. And repeat the process with the next thing to do.

Give it a try and see what happens.
