A mindfulness goal, but what does it mean?

What is awareness. Awareness (sati in Pali, smrti in Sanskrit) basically means “being conscious of,” “remembering,” or “becoming acquainted with.” So it means getting to know yourself, and your environment, your experiences of the moments lived throughout your life as they happen. But we might say we already know them. But do we, how closely?
