The In-Between Season
When summer bows to fall
On my walk this morning, I felt it.
The subtle down-shift to autumn. The loss of humidity and the cool air against my skin explained all the open windows on many of the homes in my neighborhood.
The oppressive heat of summer is waning.
We knew it was coming, even though the thermometer might have told us otherwise.
