Hydration and Your Aging Brain, a New Recipe, and a Powerful Word Swap
It’s a jam-packed Sunday Funday!
I have a brewing theory on hydration so consider this my yearly PSA (not that I’ve ever done one) on: Water and Your Brain!
Let’s take it back several decades and start the convo with my parents — this may have just turned into a therapy session.
So my parents were born in the mid-1900s and those two cats had a party- whooppin’ good time during the 60s living in NYC — as my mom often says, We were the fastest of the fast! (Meaning they spent every paycheck as soon as it came in, drank copious amounts of martinis, and were the life of the party wherever they went — I could have THRIVED in the 60s!)
They were having such a good time that before they knew it, they were 20-somethings with three kids — with one still to come (that’d be me) — and I’m betting they wished they slowed down just a wee bit!
But they carried on and while there are no major traumas to report and life was about as normal as any other family I suppose, both my parents ended up developing some form of dementia later in life, and here’s where my PSA begins.
