Thinking about purchasing a Shopify store? Considering a pre-made shop? Wondering how accurate those Shopify Exchange figures are?
The truth is, there is a lot to like about the idea of having an all in one platform for buying and selling Shopify stores. But, there is also much to be wary of as well.

Shopify sellers will often inflate the appearance of value in their stores by spending a ton of money on PPC ads, use 3rd party or drop shipping products that have very little potential profit margin EVEN when sales are high, and make a store LOOK much more robust and durable than it actually is.
(in other words — when the PPC ad spend stops, so too does the traffic, and you are left with a store filled with the exact same 3rd party products as everyone else…..without any real way of monetizing your site going forward, without re-doing the whole thing.
