MIND Games Arena Basics
Read on to learn the basics of how to Set Up, Survive… and maybe even Thrive in MIND Games’ Arena!
I’m assuming that you are already aware of these awesome little NFT’s (Non-Fungible Tokens) called MINDS if you’ve found this. If not… scroll to the bottom and find those links. MIND Games Discord is a vibrant community. Twitter & Medium have lots of Lore and info! There is also TONS of awesome Documentation on the Docs page! Definitely a project worth some DYOR. Go to https://mindgames.io, and click “Play Now”! This will load you into the main game screen.
On to the good stuff, where to start and how to get battling! Once you enter MIND Games, you are viewing several buildings in which you can trade, farm, and perform all the DeFi basics. Click on the Arena at the top of the screen.
Once you enter the Arena, you will be presented with your cards. Select your game mode on the right, 3v3 or Ranked (5v5) then select the 3 or 5 cards you want in your deck and get out there! (More about how to select your cards later)
On to the main Arena. This is where all the fun happens! In order to understand the Spells (When we talk about the cards…) you first have to understand the Arena. The Arena is broken up into two main parts. The “Nucleus” (Pictured below in Blue) is where the active cards in play are. You have up to two active cards on the Nucleus, and up to four in Hand to be used on later rounds. This (Cards on the board plus your Hand) is called your “Circuit” (Pictured below in Red)
The “Nucleus” itself is divided into quarters. Your side Attacker & Defender, plus your opponent’s Attacker & Defender.
Sweet… there are these cool NFTs, this board thing, and these nebulous spells…
But… HOW DO I PLAY?!?
Super easy. From your Hand, pick one MIND and put it in the Attacker slot (Crossed Swords) and put a card into the Defender slot. (Shield) Finally, select which of the two Passive skills you want to use, then press Ready!
The game progresses turn by turn, where you can swap out your Attacker and Defender with each other or a card from your Hand until someone is out of cards. Playing the game is that basic! Until its not… lol
Remember those Spells? Time to talk about those. There are a total of 54 different spells. (so far…)
- 18 Attack Spells
- 18 Defense Spells
- 18 Passive Spells
Some of these spells work really well together. Others do not… if you want to excel at this game, its all about figuring out cool combinations of Spells which create an OP scenario. Each NFT has three stats also. Some Spells increase these stats, and cause MINDs to get stronger throughout the battle!
My recommendation? Get in there and play a bit. See how much fun it is… then go start reading through those spells! Find that crazy combination of Attack, Defense, and Passive skills which make your team unbeatable! Link to Spells and lots of other good stuff below.
