A Cyberpunk city filled with robots, surveillance, propaganda, and mystery.

Welcome to 7th Sector.

In this impressive solo developed game, you’re a mysterious spark that travels through electrical devices. As you traverse the vibrant (yet isolating) world you’ll need to overcome challenges by solving environmental puzzles so you can progress. Over time you’ll learn more about the city you’re in and the dark secrets it holds.

As soon as you first step foot into the world of 7th Sector, you can see really nice environmental details on display. To enhance those details comes some great ambient noises and music. It’s a world that pulls you in and makes you want to explore it.

The game elements, like the environment, have a good balance between being dark and being playful. It goes well with the overall Cyberpunk vibes where things are busy and exciting yet also showcase sad loneliness. It makes for a fun and thought-provoking ride. And just as there is always more than meets the eye, based on your choices in the game, there are multiple endings to discover.

The puzzles connect beautifully into the world rather than feeling roughly thrown in. They seem fluid and cohesive and can be incredibly challenging. The types of puzzles vary a fair amount and can require a bit of patience to get past them. The one issue I had, which is mostly based on preferred playstyle, is that some puzzles seem to require you to fail, die and reload to your last save point multiple times until you figure out what the puzzle demands. To me, these types of puzzles can get a bit frustrating and take away some of the immersion this game does so well.

Overall, if you’re looking for a fun, challenging game that brings a really nice layer of mystery in a very cool Cyberpunk world, check out 7th Sector. You can find it on Steam or be one of the first to get it on PS4, XboxOne or Switch as of February of 2020.
