Stunning Protest Posters From The America I Know And Love
No promotion and little planning, but thousands showed up
It started so simply, but the best things often do.
Opened my email, saw a photo of Union Square, NY on President’s Day.
What struck me wasn’t the number of people. Thousands, a sea of people but what hit me was the work they put into the posters they were carrying. They were more than words in marker on poster board. They were art.
Because, here’s the thing. Everyone is kind of horrified. People are worried about diseases coming back. About program cuts, tariffs, and Elon Musk having access to people’s private information. That salute. You know?
So this was a breath of fresh air. Not even just the protest, not even the thousands of people assembling in cities around America, but the sentiment, the feelings, the things people were saying.
But here, let me show you.
This poster was made by a young woman who said first time she went to a protest it was Occupy Wall Street and she was just a wee baby…
