The sound of rain, the crash of waves and the chirping of birds… Immersion into nature is truly an antidote for stress and worry. People who spend an average of 2 hours a week in green spaces experience heightened levels of psychological well-being. It’s true, nature relieves your mental fatigue and boosts your creativity. But the benefits of nature don’t stop there. Nature has a profound impact on your physical health too. Studies show that within neighborhoods that prioritise greenery, residents have enhanced metabolic rates and fewer stress hormones circulating in their blood. So, how can we best integrate doses of nature into our daily routine?

Try to plan a morning walk in nature or schedule a walking-meeting with your team. If that’s not possible, spend a few minutes each day visualising nature and meditative scenes. Investing in a few low-maintenance plants is another great way to interact with nature through scents. Best of all, when you incorporate greenery into your work space, your productivity and creativity levels are likely to improve. And finally, pay attention to the natural lighting in your environment. When does the sun shine the brightest through your windows? During these moments, sit, play and read whilst taking in the warmth of the sun. Natural light is a transformative mood booster — and it gives you a dose of much needed Vitamin — D too!
