Artificial intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) will transform most of the industry sectors like retail, healthcare, manufacturing, finance, and media along with some new territories. The major challenge with the use of AI is that most of the staff members are not skilled in its use. It is estimated that by 2022, there will be 2.3 million jobs in this sector across the globe; the expansion of the use of AI and ML will also cost 1.5 million people their jobs. Let’s look at some interesting forecasts for 2020 and beyond:

  1. Cyber-security is the topmost priority for many industry sectors. The advancements in AI and ML algorithms would be used to create security-centric software applications, which would be marked for their accuracy and speed. The cybersecurity experts and data scientists would work together to create a common software development goals.
  2. The healthcare industry would gradually have humans and machines work together to deliver a better outcome. The advanced machines are expected to deliver an accurate and faster diagnosis of a patient’s condition. It will allow healthcare professionals to focus less on paperwork and administrative functions, and more on patient care.
  3. Database Administration (DBA) system involves many process and tasks that are repetitive for AI technologies to automate. DBA has been empowered with advanced automated tools for many tasks, allowing it to make valuable contributions to the organization.
  4. AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) will work alongside to create voice-activated assistants like Siri and Alexa. These applications will transcribe human language into data for further analysis. They will be of great impact to customer-centric businesses.

AI and ML have drastically changed the way businesses in many sectors. In the near future, smart/self-driving cars, smart cities, robotic staff, and digital assistants would be a possibility.
