As of 20th June 2020 ASIC Hub (SSH) is discontinued. We recommend using ASIC Hub (Non-SSH), which is now officially named only ASIC Hub.
minerstat offers software for all kinds of mining farms. We have already shown you how to set up mining OS, Windows mining, and now, we will show you how to set up ASIC Hub.
✏️ What do you need?
To set up the ASIC Hub you will need to prepare three things:
- ASIC.
- A registered account on minerstat.
- A monitoring computer: Linux, Windows, Raspberry Pi, or Mac.
ASIC Hub installation
Installing the ASIC Hub will only take you a few minutes. You will need a Linux, Mac, or Raspberry Pi computer that is placed in your local network. If you only have a Windows computer available, you can also install VM (virtual machine) with Ubuntu OS 18.04 (Linux) and follow the same installation procedure.
First, log in to the computer that will act as a server via SSH or Terminal.
Then run the installation command.
Linux/Raspberry Pi
wget -O - https://minerstat.com/nonssh-install | bash
Mac
curl -L -s https://minerstat.com/nonssh-install | bash -s
The wizard will lead you through different steps where you will need to enter your access key, the ASIC group for monitoring, and the type of firmware you are using. The wizard will install all dependencies and crontabs you need for monitoring.
Press [Enter] to enter the installation process.
Enter your access key and press [Enter] to confirm it.
Enter the group you want to monitor and press [Enter]. ASIC Hub (Non-SSH) will monitor all ASICs that are added to this group, so if you enter a group asic
this will monitor all ASICs on your account.
💡 Tip: If you are already running some ASICs on ASIC Hub SSH, then we suggest putting your Non-SSH ASICs in the additional group, for example, nonssh
, and then enter this group on this step.
With up and down arrows select which firmware you are using on your ASICs. If you use some ASICs with default firmware and some with Braiins OS, we suggest going through the wizard twice and putting all your Braiins OS ASICs into a separate group.
Press [Space] to confirm the selection and then [Enter] to continue.
After this, the finish screen will open and you can exit it by pressing [Enter].
If you want to add additional crontabs for different ASIC groups, you can run the wizard as many times you like or just manually edit the crontabs.
Your workers should be online on the dashboard in a few moments.
